Overstepping their authority, again

Economically, the bailout makes a certain sense, to preserve the status quo ... but only if the people who caused the problem are identified, taken outside, and shot first. As it stands, they're the ones who are in line to receive the bailout cash .. despite having received huge performance bonuses for putting the economy into this position in the first place.

The US populace need to grow some cohones, head downtown, and burn a few skyscrapers to the ground with the bosses inside. Be it oil speculators, bankers, or politicians. Sadly, the majority of the sheep still haven't caught on that they're living under a feudal system again.

buffet saved the day again with 3 billion to GE.:TU:

Now we gotta see what the politicians do.

Need New people leading this, and forget about the
"give us money now, and we'll fix the problems with the bill later.

This is too important to just "take what we can get" we need it Right.
We need it more specific.

WASHINGTON — The Senate moved toward passage Wednesday of a $700 billion financial industry bailout as opposition to the package among House Republican conservatives appeared to be softening, thanks partly to a provision increasing insurance for people's deposits.

if that's the case, they've learned Nothing.

If there is indeed transparency, let's see handout breakdown to the biggest receivers.

well I'm done with our 2 Ga senators.
They do not represent me now for the 2nd major time.

well I believe we know now which senators are looking out for the people.
25 um.

We need change for sure.
Change of getting all the crooks out.

I wouldn't hold my breath on that last one. The sheeple have shown a propensity to vote with the incumbent unless their own pocket is affected. That's why this bail-out is taking so long.

Anybody else notice that the dollar got stronger when the first bailout failed? Sounds like the global market isn't impressed with our revolving debt scheme/bailout.

I'd be happy to become a libertarian if they'd drop the isolationist foreign policy.

Interesting. The drug plank of the platform is what turns most people off.

You cannot affect the outcome if you remove yourself from the sphere of influence. Get them elected, then change the platform. The thing that always pisses me off about the Libertarians is their penchant to throw lots of dollars at the federal offices which robs the candidates at the local level of money they need to win office. If they could get enough good candidates in office at the local level and gain some namen recognition then they could hoist some candidates for higher office. Until they learn that they will always be the "also ran" party.

I lean toward do what ya want when it comes to personal policy - just as long as I don't have to hear your stupid platform of why your way is better & how you want to change the existing rules & definitions.

WW2 should open everybodies eyes as to the evils of isolationism. Imagine how many lives would have been spared if we's entered in 1939.

well, The leadership in the house won't let Any changes in the bill.

Do something bad, or do nothing.
This is not the way the House should work.

We've got a marxist preparing to become President whilst the current administration paves the road.
