Recall

All elections are (R) vs (D). Adding teh two (R)'s shows that the state not only didn't want a (D), they were adamant about it.

Correct, more no votes means he got more "support" than last time. Look at how many YES votes there were also.

I still don't see the logic in you statement that more people picked Grey-out. All the numbers point to booting him...total yes votes, Arnolds tally, variations of the same theme..people had enough.

Maybe elections are (R) vs. (D) for you if you're blindly partisan, many people actually look at individual candidates. Adding two vastly different candidates together doesn't show anything.

I don't know why this is so difficult for you to understand why more people favored Davis unless you're not reading what I already typed. I'll break down though:

1. Take all the "No" votes, which means they want Davis to stay. This is their first choice and you would not count their second choice candidate.

2. Take all the "Yes" votes that then picked Arnold. This clearly means that their first choice is the Terminator.

Compare the two numbers...

That is why I'm confused.

Yes 4,415,341 55.4
No 3,559,400 44.6
Arnold Schwarzenegger Rep 3,743,393 48.7

Yes wins, which means Grey-out is ousted.

If you're really anxious to just add (R)s and (D)s together without actually putting any thought or reason into it then you would get:

(D) Davis + Cruz = 5,991,846
(R) Arnie + McClintock = 4,769,874

an overwhelming advantage for (D). What does adding candidates together tell you though? Not shit.

Doesn't work because a large percentage of the no votes also picked Bustamante. You'd have to remove those dual votes altogether.

No shit, now try removing the No votes that also picked Arnold and you'll be almost caught up.

You wouldn't be confused if you could read a little better. Try reading it again.

Looks like somebody can't decipher symbols...and it isn't me

Yes 4,415,341 55.4
Arnold Schwarzenegger 3,743,393 48.7
No 3,559,400 44.6

You typed

Yes-boot Davis is over 4.4 million. Arnold has the advantage.

Arnold for Governator-over 3.7 million-advantage Arnie

No-this is unfair & unbalanced 3.55 million-advantage Arnold in all cases.

Still haing trouble with reading that. Try again a little slower. Your numbers do not reflect either 1 or 2 at all.

Funny how you have no trouble seeing how you would remove No votes from Bustamante but just can't get two brain cells around removing No votes from Arnold. That's one giant mental block.

Try this again and keep at it until you get it.

2. Take all the "Yes" votes that then picked Arnold. This clearly means that their first choice is the Terminator.

You're assuming numbers that can't presently be confirmed. I doubt over 180,000 people voted no AND for Arnold. Could be wrong, when you get the numbers, let's see.

guys in the end it doesnt matter cali got what they asked for a (r). if you dont like it petition for a recall. otherwise quit yer griping and get on with life, thats what grey would want.

3,559,400 voted NO

if you assumed every single person who voted for Cruz or maybe Camejo also voted No then:

Cruz 2,432,446
+
Camejo 212,956
--------------------
= 2,646,402

That still leaves 912,998 NO votes. You really doubt that Arnold got 180,000 of those? I guess McClintock got all the NO votes.

Sam, that's the point. It's looks like more people voted for Davis than any other candidate as their first choice.

still its a moot point this late in the game, even the canidates are wanting this over. they have said they didnt see any wrong doing in the election. So who are we to quetsion it?

As I said earlier in the thread this is theoretical. If the results don't represent the will of the people why wouldn't you question it?

because like everything the GOVT. does, i dont believe we get ALL the results.
