I don't think so. Canada allows it, but I don't think so. They are removed from society for a reason.
 
Voting is for free people.

Prisoners are indeed removed from society, because they were a thread to society. They musn't have the right to vote, IMO.
 
They do Unc, and I agree with this, this has been a long standing argument between my tree-hugging liberal wife and I over the last couple years. She thinks that once they've served their time, they should be put back into society with full rights, I say once you lose em, they're gone, we don't need people that commit felonies to be involved in making future decision about this country.
 
Felons can petition the courts to reinstate the voting rights, after all sentencing & parole has expired.
 
i dont think so. if they are out of prison and have reformed ill change that. but if still in i say no.

This is so. I was told that i could do this after my Felony probation was over which was three years ago now(haven't yet though). At any rate, i think it should be on a case by case basis. I don't think my voting privileges should be taken away for life because of some stupid thing i did when i was 19 and drunk. Obviously there are many felony crimes where people lose their voting privileges for life and that's the way it should be.
 
That's a misdemeanor. Breaking and entering. Realistically, it was a bunch of teenagers throwing a party in someone's house when we shouldn't have been there.
 
Hm, you have a very colorful history. I've never been arrested in North America, for which I'm thankful. Are you from Washington?
 
I'm crushed that you didn't invite me. How many people in total? What was the bottom line damage cost? Didja make it into the papers?
 
The only vote a convicted felon should have is which type of execution he/she prefers...
 
You wouldn't have been interested. It was mostly a bunch of drunk teenage girls. :D
Through the whole night probably fifty people and $13,000.00 in damages.
I made it into the papers many times before i hit the age of 24. Been a good boy since then.
