It was fine when we thought osama was protecting that pipeline for us.

You may or may not convince me the war with Iraq is bad but you'll never convince me it's about oil. We have other options, including going to the Kuwait Premiere (or whatever he calls himself) & declaring victory. We're there, with troops & hardware, what are they gonna do to stop us? We used Usama to see what the Soviets were willing to do & to a lesser degree, assist some 14th century outpost.

America is to punish Germany for leading international opposition to a war against Iraq. The US will withdraw all its troops and bases from there and end military and industrial co-operation between the two countries - moves that could cost the Germans billions of euros.
