Thyroxine is a natural hormone. Which I'm on, btw. If I ever have a daughter, I'll be sure to let ya'll know how she turns out 20 years down the road. :D

Thyroxine is not an appetite suppressant. It's a drug for a hypoactive thyroid. Big difference. It's replacing a hormone your body doesn't produce. Since almost all women produce this same hormone naturally, then why isn't the rate of homosexuality among women even higher? ;)

Plenty of things cross the barrier between the mother and the child... nicotein, caffeine, spicy food etc... :D

As for finding it out now... we're constantly finding out new things about ourselves :D

Then explain how homosexuals existed before those drugs were invented...
 
Since I don't take this research all that seriously, (pretty much for the same reasons as you do -when it comes to the thyroxine anyways), I'm not gonna attempt to defend it. All I know is that the thyroxine commonly prescribed is T4, while it is becoming more usual to also prescribe T3. Also, the mothers in question would have taken these drugs, what, about 20 years ago? The drugs may have been altered/improved since then. Does it make any different? I'll be damned if I know. Probably not.

The test (which I.. oh screw it, you know what I think about it.. :lloyd: ) indicated a higher percentage of gays, it did in no way claim these drugs were the only cause.

They're talking about something which increases the odds...not a single cause. Hell, cancer existed long before Marlboro hit the stores. :D

Brain damaged, eh? Well...I suppose that I can agree with that for the moment...at least until someone jumps in with the idiocy of 'curing' homosexuals again. *This always happens on here*

but never acts on this supposed predisposition are they still homosexual?

This has more to do with what one does with what's given to us at birth. We're still responsible for our actions, but at least we can understand them more.

Yes, I supposed that a homosexual man who doesn't have sex with other men is still homosexual...the same as a straight man who hasn't been laid in 30 years is still straight.

But I'll let you in on the secret: most of us effectively train ourselves, often from quite early on, to think of one of the genders in sexual terms and to avoid doing so with the other (and once we develop those attractions, we don't really have a choice about our feelings, only a choice about our actions).
