I've a five-oh V-8 in the driveway that will bring a
tear to my eye to part with...

But after I get one of these motorized golf carts
I will but laughing til I cry everytime I pull up to the pump, won't I?

I can't Fit in a 2005 Honda CR-V.
Not only do my legs make an eighty degree angle with the floor, but I also need to bend in my foot at a 30 degree angle to hit the gas properly. My knees hit the steering column and the dashboard. I don't think a diet is going to make me my legs or my feet any shorter.

You'll pardon me while all us short folk sit and laugh our collective asses off at you.

Inky, file that right beside living up North. I can add extra layers of clothing as it gets colder, but when it warms up, you kinda have to stop stripping when you hit skin. I can use a chair, or ladder to make myself taller. How do you propose to make yourself shorter, this side of major surgury?

Winky .... Doesn't matter when she's taking it off anyways.

Why would I need to be shorter? I can't think of any situations relevant to me now or in the foreseeable future where I would wish I were six inches shorter.

In the Fit, or the CR-V? I fit just fine in my Neon... the seat could be a bit more supportive on a long trip but I fit in the car just fine.

It's not that I can't fit in a CR-V at all, it just gets uncomfortable after about five minutes.

Being tall has natural advantages. In the wild, I would have a better chance of survival. I could reach food on the top branches of trees and outrun predators better because of longer legs.

Yep, cos your short stumpy human legs would carry you that much faster than a short person, and would give you so much more advantage when bein' chased by a cheetah (110 km/h vs 37.267 km/h for one of the 'fastest' humans). And don't make me give you a lecture on how tall our hominid ancestors actually were, or that it was never about running away from predators, such much as climbing the nearest tree.

Al, it was brains, not brawn that got humans this far. I'll match my hatband with anyone here. Your excessive height is nothing more than the result of better diet, and bovine growth hormone ingested at McDonalds as a kid.

I don't need to use a chair to change a light bulb.

But yea, I think mcdonalds has something to do with it. I'm like four inches taller than my dad and ten inches taller than my mom, that isn't genetics. Ever since I learned the way of the grill in '02, I avoid that place like the bubonic plague. Their food is horrible. The burgers are so bland that they need to load them up with ketchup and mustard so you can't taste the rancid beef byproducts. When I make burgers, they come off the grill and onto the bun and taste great without any sauces.

But as a small child, my mom did take us to mcdonalds. Not a lot, but more than just occasionally, maybe three times a month.

Now, I don't like that place. Five bucks for a disgusting burger and soggy over-salted tasteless fries, no thanks. Using about a dollar's worth of food and five minutes of my time, I can make something that is way better than anything mcdonalds has. Especially since wawa, our local convenience store, has started selling hoagies, our local sandwich. Three fifty gets you a six inch hoagie with turkey, cheese, onion, lettuce, mayo, salt, and pepper. Another buck for an iced tea, you're set. It's nice having drinks with a pH above three.
