I don't know PT, that sound pretty colorful. Maybe those things happen, but l find it hard to believe that Nazi Germany is a good comparison here. Although, it has been the general trend to try to compare anyone you wish to do away with to Hitler, its really a good or accurate comparison.

I'm curious to see the final outcome of the matter. If all is well, if a stable 'democratic' gov't is elected, if it stays democratic, and doesn't go radical, and if loss of life is minimal, maybe, just maybe I'll agree that it was the 'right thing to do.' At this point, I'm not sure. Its turning out much better than I expected, I will at least admit that. The outcome is still far from certain, if not with respect to the war, at least with respect to the long-term effect on the country and the people.

I'd really hate to have to do this all over again in 12 more years :(

Do you think anyone at all expected him to do that? War, though sometimes unavoidable, is and always will be horrifying. Saddam holds the lions share of the blame, to be certain, but there are other factors too, many that we aren't even aware of (and never will be). It just isn't that simple.

I watched about five minutes of his show one night, and decided right off the bat that I didn't like him. Some poor guy called up to praise the show, and he treated him like dirt! He's an ass.

Yes it is. You're trying to invent complications so that you can spread the blame to us. You'll have to be more inventive, though, because pointing to mysterious, unknown factors isn't enough.

I believe in open immigration. I guess testing for diseases isn't a bad idea, if we have some reason to believe that the disease is active in the area from which they came.
 
The testing I could agree with as well, strains of the flu that are common wherever they are from could be very bad for us here. As for removing all Illegals, well, I just don't think that's a very good idea, how about tightening up the borders, then make all the ones that are here legal, at least then we'd get taxes from them. And by tighten I don't mean close, just control.
 
Some from [insert drum roll & pregnant pause] THE LEFT are already saying if we test for SARS it's racist. Hmmmm, ok, let's let the plague of the 21st century start because we don't want to look bad in the eyes of a Chinese guy or his Vietnamese traveling companion :rolleyes:
 
Well, they test already. My wife had to get about every medical test known to man as part of getting her visa. Maybe this guy needs to look at some of the things that are already in place.

I'd have to hear him to make a judgement though. He doesn't sound that radical, but then again, a lot of it is how he says it.
