Well young Lady I went back read every definition of “frolic”
and one can readily see what your mind is focused on even though your not feeling tip top.

If I'd wanted to give the connotation of carousal I'd have said carousing? I would never suggest to a fine young Lady that she
engage in dissolute behavior unless of course it was with me!!

Mine would probably conjure a similar image of myself.. but the dress would be sheer linen... underwear would be nil... and the sun would be shining down on me from behind.

So different but yet the same.... :p
 
Somehow that mental image is eminently better than the one I had Yes it certainly enhances the experience thanks ;)

I'm also stubborn as hell (read: opinionated).....one of the people in question in the statement that I quoted tried something like that on me.

I was walking through town when I was at university dressed in my black baggy jeans and black hoody. A street preacher pointed at me and said at the top of his voice 'your parents and family must be ashamed of you worshipping satan like you do'. He promptly got a mouthful for being a judgement SoB.

I'm confused it doesnt take much... what does being pregnant have to do with knowing that who you're with is "the one"? :confused:

My man and I are, what we like to call, "emotionally engaged"... we know that spending the rest of our lives together is right... we're simply waiting for a suitable length of time elapse before we make it "public" him asking my Dad for his blessing, a ring, a party etc... so our friends and family take us seriously and don't think we're a couple of "stupid love struck kids"

But why I'm feeling the need to justify myself to you Gonz I'll never know.

oh.... so its yet again another grammar pick up...

The term "practically" is a colloquelism here for "almost" or "as good as"

We also use the term "a little bit pregnant" for those in the early stages!

I've heard that one since I was a kid. :shrug: More often referring to someone in the third person though. (He's/she's practically engaged to so and so). Slang, and not really what it means, but it was a common expression where I grew up. Funny how different expressions you think are universal aren't, huh?

*I've also seen more than one guy bolt right after it was said (including myself).*
