Vote Republican this election

I'm voting mostly Democrat this election, though I never stick to a single party when I vote.

please, for the love of the United States of America, do not vote for Komrade Klinton's People's Democratic Party of the United States of Amerca.

That seems to be the tenor for most. Either youre a heartless jesus freak with rattlesnakes and rolling in the aisles babbling in tongues spending all of your free time telling your neighbor how to live his life behind closed doors or youre a brain dead brown rice eating commune hippie bootlicking commie tax and spend thief who is jealous of everyone that has more than you with a heroin needle in your arm.

I never vote a straight party ballot. I specifically vote for whoever I like better.

Inky, how is Grey-Out Davis looking? Any chance after the energy debacle? WHo is he running against? (I've been watching the national cycle but not the states)

McCain was on the Republican ticket right? :D

He may not have been toting the pure party line (probably his downfall) but he sure isn't a pure Democrat either. He seemed to have more integrity than any candidate in years and if he had a temper maybe that's good.

To those who must vote DNC, ask yourself this:

After 50+ years of majority control of the Congress & many years of full control of the governent as a whole, why are the same problems being brought up, again & again & again? It seem to me that the Dems are lying to you or not fixing the problem to keep themselves employed.

It seems to me every time there's a Republican president that life in general sucks. In fact life has never sucked so bad as it does now with our current village idiot. All these people out of work, the stock market tanked, and we get to go to war....woohoo! I'm not saying it's all his fault but conservatives coddle him too much.

Republican please, for the love of the United States of America, do not vote for Komrade Klinton's People's Democratic Party of the United States of America.

WTF does that even mean? Do you have something coherent to say or not?

Who here agrees with me that the race for governor of California this year should go into all future political science textbooks as a perfect example of how to completely and unequivocally fuck up a campaign? Gray Davis had absolutely no chance at re-election, or so it looked in March.

The Cali governor race is pathetic. How Bill Simon beat Riordan for the Republican ticket I'll never guess. I can't cast a vote for that putz...I don't want Gray Davis either though.

as clinton is no longer the democrat leader i see no reason for this comment. you might not agree with the party but making a reference to it being communist is unecessary and merely stimies debate on these boards.

suggest you discuss democrat policies instead.

any further references to communism as an unbased derogatory statement will result in consideration to lock of this thread. given the ways that threads have recently deteriorated and the offence taken through use of the term in that context by members of this board i hope everyone understands.

flavio-yes McCain is a Republican Senator from AZ. He's been voting heavily democratic in the last few years though.

I lived with Dickless Riordan as Mayor. I'm unaware of Simons political stance but Riordan was a fuck up.

ris-Clinton is the head of the Democratic National Committee-(DNC).

Don't let this fool you

Current DNC Leadership

While anyone who is registered to vote as a Democrat is a member of the Party, there are 440 members of the Democratic National Committee.

The National Committee has 9 elected officers: The Chair, five Vice Chairs, Treasurer, Secretary, and National Finance Chair.

Terry McAuliffe, Chairman
Joe Carmichael, Vice Chair
Linda Chavez-Thompson, Vice Chair
Bill Lynch, Vice Chair
Gloria Molina, Vice Chair
Lottie Shackelford, Vice Chair
Andrew Tobias, Treasurer
Alice Travis Germond, Secretary

he's the (pardon the pun) brains behind the party. everyone that is named is/was in his back pocket.

I don't know if I could ever vote for another democrat for president. After NAFTA was signed in, I might just be inclined to conclude that either the democrats are stupid or they want to take Mexico to raise.

thankyou gonz, i am happy to stand corrected. i stand by the main body of the statement - comparing the democrats to communists is a leap of faith at best and massive over-exaggeration at worst. if a debate on the forthcoming mid-term elections is wanted then alienating those democrats by effectively calling them communists only serves to offend and reduce the debate to name-calling.

Even though Bubba says he votes for individuals I know from many past threads that he votes blindly republican.

Don't get me wrong Riordan is no prize either. The Republican offerings were a joke from the start...and then there's Gray Davis. There is no decent choice. Just like so many elections, I have choice between crap and more crap.

As far as McCain goes...I haven't got a feel if the people responding like/dislike him and I'm curious. What do you guys think of McCain?

Some people's parents have drilled party politics into their heads and the other side is considered the root of evil. Voting party lines as even the title of this thread suggests is BS. People running for office are individuals even though some are heavily pupputeered. Partisan politics is responsible for these crap choices we have as candidates and the deadlock that we have on alot of problems that we are faced with.

If everyone looked at all the options whether Democrat, Republican, Libertarian. or Green party and voted on individual issues and candidates maybe some actual progress could be made.

ris, first, look up on some of your facts. Second, socialism and communism is the same thing for most part. I've been taught that in high school, by my parents, and by lots of books I've read. If you don't like me calling it communism, just replace it with Marxism or socialism or whatever soothes your mind. I'm not here to soothe people's minds with kind words on how the DemoKratik party is "going to preserve the Republic which we are."

suggest you discuss democrat policies instead.
Thanks, but I'm not really in the mood for discussion, I merely voiced an opinion who I'd prefer to vote for and made a call not to vote for Komrade Klimton's Commie Party

Not really, this thread, from what I've read, is lightyears from any kind of personal attack. For crying out loud, I just voiced an opinion which you just so happen not to like and here we go with the censorship.

Both. The democrats think its their personal responsibility of raising and helping every country in the world except ourselves. Thats just wrong. (hint: UN contributions, third world contributions, etc.)

For you perhaps, not for me. Communism/socialism is leftist. Communism IS socialism. Socialism isn't necessarily communism though, but there isn't that much of a difference. The one is just more to the left, which is the way the Democrats are going.

That wasn't name calling, its called an opinion and I am not scared to voice it.

LL is kind of right. I studied comparative economics in Hungary, a former "communist' country. And I can tell you, the term "communist" was never used. It was rather refered to as socialism, or "the socialism." None of them believed they EVER reached the state of "communism" described by Marx. I'm not saying that its right or wrong to call dems communists, but the fact is, in this respect, he is correct, at least according to my knowlege of the subject.

Personally, I don't think I'm voting for the repubs though, or the dems. I don't like either! Maybe Jesse Ventura will run ;)
