To those who must vote DNC, ask yourself this:
After 50+ years of majority control of the Congress & many years of full control of the governent as a whole, why are the same problems being brought up, again & again & again? It seem to me that the Dems are lying to you or not fixing the problem to keep themselves employed.
Republican please, for the love of the United States of America, do not vote for Komrade Klinton's People's Democratic Party of the United States of America.
Who here agrees with me that the race for governor of California this year should go into all future political science textbooks as a perfect example of how to completely and unequivocally fuck up a campaign? Gray Davis had absolutely no chance at re-election, or so it looked in March.

as clinton is no longer the democrat leader i see no reason for this comment. you might not agree with the party but making a reference to it being communist is unecessary and merely stimies debate on these boards.
suggest you discuss democrat policies instead.
any further references to communism as an unbased derogatory statement will result in consideration to lock of this thread. given the ways that threads have recently deteriorated and the offence taken through use of the term in that context by members of this board i hope everyone understands.
Current DNC Leadership

Terry McAuliffe, Chairman
Joe Carmichael, Vice Chair
Linda Chavez-Thompson, Vice Chair

Lottie Shackelford, Vice Chair
Andrew Tobias, Treasurer
Alice Travis Germond, Secretary

I lived with Dickless Riordan as Mayor. I'm unaware of Simons political stance but Riordan was a fuck up.

ris, first, look up on some of your facts. Second, socialism and communism is the same thing for most part. I've been taught that in high school, by my parents, and by lots of books I've read. If you don't like me calling it communism, just replace it with Marxism or socialism or whatever soothes your mind. I'm not here to soothe people's minds with kind words on how the DemoKratik party is "going to preserve the Republic which we are."ris said:as clinton is no longer the democrat leader i see no reason for this comment. you might not agree with the party but making a reference to it being communist is unecessary and merely stimies debate on these boards.
Thanks, but I'm not really in the mood for discussion, I merely voiced an opinion who I'd prefer to vote for and made a call not to vote for Komrade Klimton's Commie Partysuggest you discuss democrat policies instead.
Not really, this thread, from what I've read, is lightyears from any kind of personal attack. For crying out loud, I just voiced an opinion which you just so happen not to like and here we go with the censorship.any further references to communism as an unbased derogatory statement will result in consideration to lock of this thread. given the ways that threads have recently deteriorated and the offence taken through use of the term in that context by members of this board i hope everyone understands.
Both. The democrats think its their personal responsibility of raising and helping every country in the world except ourselves. Thats just wrong. (hint: UN contributions, third world contributions, etc.)Bubba said:I don't know if I could ever vote for another democrat for president. For you perhaps, not for me. Communism/socialism is leftist. Communism IS socialism. Socialism isn't necessarily communism though, but there isn't that much of a difference. The one is just more to the left, which is the way the Democrats are going.ris said:i stand by the main body of the statement - comparing the democrats to communists is a leap of faith at best and massive over-exaggeration at worst.
That wasn't name calling, its called an opinion and I am not scared to voice it.if a debate on the forthcoming mid-term elections is wanted then alienating those democrats by effectively calling them communists only serves to offend and reduce the debate to name-calling.
ThanksRD_151 said:LL is kind of right. I studied comparative economics in Hungary, a former "communist' country. And I can tell you, the term "communist" was never used. It was rather refered to as socialism, or "the socialism." None of them believed they EVER reached the state of "communism" described by Marx. I'm not saying that its right or wrong to call dems communists, but the fact is, in this respect, he is correct, at least according to my knowlege of the subject.
HAHAHAHAHAPersonally, I don't think I'm voting for the repubs though, or the dems. I don't like either! Maybe Jesse Ventura will run![]()
