Glad all are ok..... :winkkiss:
Sorry bout the truck too...:(

SHITTTT....The lady should have atleast replaced the 2 broken bottles of beer!!!!!! :D

I was rearended once in very similar circumstances. Had bees topped on a flat straight stretch of road for almost 30 seconds and WHAM, some organ donor slams right into the car at full speed. The best part was, we were in a Ford Escort (wife's choice), which never got completely restored to its former lustre, and I was able to trade it for a decent ride after a few months.

Tonks, glad you weren't seriously hurt. Unc, any Southerner with a dent free pick up truck is suspect you know... :D

Her minivan was obliterated from the drivers seat forward. Her 8 y/o son was ok... but the other woman was busted up pretty bad. She was in shock and complaining about neck, back, both shoulders, and pretty much the entire right leg down to the toes; backboard, neckbrace... not pretty. I don't even know her name. cops, fire rescue, ambulance, wrecker... quite a scene.

The impact probably would have been worse except that the spare tire cinched up under the bed was positioned right at the impact point where my rear bumper buckled inwards. It popped right out like a bar of soap and ended up wedging under her front right tire to prevent her from doing a free roll down the hill after me.

Shes not dent free for sure. I treated it like a truck. It had its share of little wounds.

My neck is now sore... sorta like waking up the morning after a bit of scratch football with the boys.

I removed the spare from that apparatus last summer and just let mine ride in the bed. Too much hassle getting it loose when you really need the spare. Now, seeing those photos, I might hook it back up...

You guys be careful with those necks. That stuff can creep up on you and cause major problems later. Get checked out.

whilst showering this morning i found another sore spot on the top of my head...trying to figure out what i hit it on.

tonksy, no telling what your head hit.

Glad you and unc are basically in good shape. So very glad the kids weren't in the truck with you.

AAAIIIGGGHHH!!! I'm really glad ya'll are OK, but the truck! Crap!

I don't THINK they'll total it, as it's a Mark III, but be prepared for that possibility.

On the positive side, I've been saying you needed a newer, more kid-friendly ride. Might be time to do it.

Oh man - glad you guys are ok. Sounds like you have whiplash, hun'.

How refreshing to hear people who aren't sue-crazy.

Glad you're both okay...

When will people realise that vehicles... no matter whether a small car or monster great truck... are simply tin boxes travelling at speed... *shudder*

All care should be taken!

Glad you okay..

Shit unc, at what speed did she hit you?

Those trucks are hard to bend

Glad you guys are ok. It's too bad for the truck, hopefully it can be fixed. Make sure to have yourselves checked out just in case though. Better to be safe than sorry. What an idiot of a driver though. She shouldn't be on the road. :sadhug:

good thing the kiddies weren't in the car when it happened.
as for you two adults, you best be taking care of your backs & necks *nods*

the speed limit on that road is 35 MPH i believe...she had just finished cresting a hill and so was speeding up on the down slope. she never applied the brakes.
i think i'd like a chiropractor.

Sorry t'hear about your accident...glad to hear that you're 'fine' ... though I'd get checked out either way. A car accident ain't nothin to sneeze at.

:hugs:
Get well soon!

Missed this yesterday. Glad you guys seem okay, but like SnP says...

Too bad about the truck unc, hope fixing it isn't a problem.
