There's no North America - Latin America thing.
Either you divide it in North/South/Central (since when Central America is part of North ) or in Latin/Anglo-Saxon(sp?) America. And no, Mexico was never part of Central America.

It is a common (and wrong) notion to consider latin america as the a group of american spanish speaking countries only, obviously leaving Brasil out, hence my previous question to him.

I asked my Dad, who is from Guyana, formerly know as British Guiana, and he said he and everyone he knows considers it to be in South America, and not some weird boy from Canada's interpretation of South America being Latin America as well, makes no sense to me as i know nothing of it really, so don't flame me
