Let the brainwashing begin.

Say, how can you profess wanting to "eliminate the bigotry" if you are one yourself? Isn't that called hypocrisy?

more of a personal view i'd say.

I guess it cuts both ways on being able to at least recognise what is one and not the other.

basically though- who cares?

Pointless dogmaticism bashing is equally boring.

Doesn't mean you can't be passionate about what you beleive in tho' - whatever the belief - that, to me, is the freedom we should defend.

Tis all from a personal viewpoint.

However, when one professes bigotry as being a negative yet espouses what is commonly, though incorrectly, referred to as reverse discrimination, then one is a hypocrit, since, by definition, they are a bigot.

Claiming both parties an equal right to an opinion, agreed to or not, is equality.

Showing one the error of their way is teaching.

I'm a bigot if I recognize biased websites when I see them? So everyone that has a negative opinion of Wikipedia is a bigot too?

Find the version you want then and then relate it to recognizing blatantly biased websites.

generally i agree, the last line i think is a matter of judgement rather than fact. I can see where you come from with Spike saying one is bigotry but the complete opposite somehow magically isn't - but in a funny old way - that is Spike's point too - just not so concisely put.

Judegment it may be but that is what makes the world go 'round.

My utter contempt for the lefts general socialist attitude & their absolute hypocritical positions that we are at fault & they (those that are not us) are therefore good & kind while living under the umbrella of protection & freedom we have provided (some of us with blood & sweat).

You'll find two groups, or individuals, of similar opinions, can share a high spirited debate while agreeing on principal yet finding fault within the framework. The left, typically, just finds fault.

It's my job to spread enlightenment. The joy they'll find upon realizing, and admitting & discarding their erroneous ideals is sinful.

fair play.

for myself i agree on the high sprited debate.

for myself when one is labelling all into a narrow bracket (whoever, whenever) i lose interest.

Whether left or right, i just find it pointless posturing. - the debate or high spirits or any semblance of debate no longer is there.

Why waste energy trying to bash open a steel counut with a feather hammer?

Pointless.

Look at say, Misantrope and Gato - rarely agree politically - but each get along on a personal level to the degree that they can debate if they wish to- I can have a debate with both you and SNP for example - may not always agree- but i have come to enjoy it - you have both made me laugh sometimes - some things we agree on - others probably not -

but banging heads against walls is just -

Have you noticed that, generally, those with conservative ideologies tend to have no problem spreading the joy, under the title of (some variation of) right wing. We are not all in lockstep but we do have common principles in which we believe.

Say liberal once & those of that persuasion get offended & begin ranting about being labeled. We all fall into categories that make rapid identification easier.

Some of us have no problem with that because we know we aren't the group.

Cuts both ways i guess - i'm not overfond of labels meself- i prefer people and ideas.

that's just me though ... :D
