Will the USA punish Canada?

He's not speaking for everyone in the country. :retard:

Although what relations(hips?) don't have bumps?

I figured as much. Frankly, I've always known that there wouldn't be too much of a problem...at least on a one-to-oone basis. The problem lies in Group dynamics. Will groups of people who are very pro-American, or pro-War try to sway their neighbours.

He is speaking for the president though...he can't call press conferences without approval of what he's going to say.

INVADE :canada: CANADA

:headbang:

hehehehe

I gotta say....I think this guy is getting a bit carried away. I do commend him on his stance, however, I think Canada's being included was uncalled for. Canada has disagreed with us on a lot of thing before. NAFTA pissed off more people in these parts than you would believe....but we never banned Canada imports. They have also stood by us on a number of things as well. I'm kinda perturbed by the your either behind us or against us line...does this mean were enemies with Switzerland, Albania, Chad, Malawi, and Gabon too?

They start cutting off my Labatts and I'll get pissed.

I have nothing against the Canadian stance, just as I have nothing against any anti-war American personally. I might disagree, but I'm not going to go beat someone up, or stop drinking Canadian Whiskey.

And there's a hell of a lot of difference between Canada and France. What France has done is the raw definition of hypocrisy.

No, you won't. That's the problem. :D

Seriously, I haven't seen nor heard a lot of anti-Canada backlash. If you don't want to fully back it, fine, at least you're not an impediment.

I'm just hearing it and saying it from the Canadian perspective. It's all over the radio and newspapers...the latest is that Bush will be cancelling his scheduled Ottawa visit in May.

I am puching the issue beyond my actual worries to make a point. I LOVE slippery slopes.

Americans have places sanctions on us before...including the latest and greatest...the hard wood issue....where we get taxed to death for importing hard wood accross the border. We've gotten around it somehow, by shipping down 'finished' pieces of hard-wood. Hilary Clinton's offered up the same type of thing on her platform...on wheat, grains, and hay.

Canada respects America's opinions and stance on the War, but respectfully disagrees on its bypassing of the UN in doing so.

Well, we might now :D

A Liberal senator has been thrown into the firestorm of shaky U.S.-Canada relations after the Senate's Debates quoted him shouting "Screw the Americans" during a Senate sitting this week.

The quote was attributed to outspoken Senator Laurier LaPierre, who has expressed anti-American sentiments in the past, in the official transcript of Tuesday's Senate sitting. Opposition MPs and senators were quick to jump on the quote as another example of the Liberal government's strong anti-Americanism.

wanna bet?, i'll keep you informed ;)

yeap, and coupled with some new policies regarding our exportations.

You knew we were a snake when you decided to hug and kiss us. Regardless of promises to make nice nice... you have to expect that the snake will get pissy and strike for half a reason.. or almost no reason at all.

i'm not really pissed at it, you guys can do whatever you like as long as it isn't breaking signed document.

We as a souveirgn nation refused to support the US this time, the US can refuse to support us in the future as well.

We don't give salt and expect to receive gold you know.
