Turnips rule.

God damn I love turnips. My mother spoiled us, making them every year. I tried to make them one year with Rusty and it was horrible, we did everything wrong. I even ended up with a wounded thumb from the knife.

But my Mommy promised me that she's going to make them for all of us this year. YAY FOR TURNIPS!!!!

only mom can make it like how it's supposed to taste!
i get to fly home for thanksgiving to eat some of mom's cooking this year ... i'm counting down the days!! :D

I only just had turnips for the first time last week i was very suprized to find out that i liked them. After all they dont look all that great.

Happy Thanksgiving Americans!

NEver been a fan of the traditional Thanksgiving fare. Rice-pudding for instance, make sme want to retch, but my family's gotten it's own pille of Thanksgiving regulars.

My father's Beer-Ham (Yummy)
My wife's Insalada Russa
My cold beets and garlic salad
my sister's tourtière and apple pie

combine those with some great wine and a lot of laughs...can't miss!

sweet southern pecan pie made with oooey, gooey dark karo syrup and a ton of louisiana pecans.....mmm-mm!

Turkey, moms mashed potatos, Fresh cranberry sauce, gravy from scratch, green been caserole, sausage stuffing, and the topper, moms homemade blueberry and apple pie!
