What do you wear on your feet?

I am always barefoot at home but I fancy high heels or wedges when out. I don't wear tennis shoes. Like, ever.

Winter: mainly knee high boots (although I do have a cute pair of dressy ankle boots).
Summer: sandals, birkenstocks, flip flops, etc.

I have 12 pairs of shoes. I wear them all pretty regularly. I like to dress nice.

The coolest pair I have has to be my Timberland boots, though. They're your classic size 13 Timberland work boots, except they are baby blue with white accents. They're fucking hot. Especially with my baby blue socks.

To work I wear dress casuals most days, or black dress shoes to court.

Otherwise it's hiking boots. I do not own a pair of sneakers nor do I want any. Occasionally sandals in the summer, but usually hiking boots. I have a pair of high dollar Timberlands for the real hiking, a pair of Red Heads for everyday wear, and some off brands that I waterproofed for yard work.

A pair of Nikes alwasy does me right. I have this bizzare sort of anti foot fetish complex. I can't stand seeing men wear sandals or flip flops. I have to wear a real shoe at all times. I feel somehow defenseless if I am not wearing some sturdy shoes. I guess it's remnants from my days of scrappin and brawling. On a woman though, I can't resist a nice lookin woman in a nice pair of heels. I am mean, because my favorites are this big 6" heel stripper shoes, and I know those are reputed to be hell on the feet. But nothing looks better. :p

Something like this werks fer me!

Summer: flip flops, sandles or barefoot
Winter: Cowboy boots, lace up boots and on occasion tennis shoes and dressier shoes with slacks at work.

Luis: Why would you wear steel toes by choice? I have to wear steel toes on job sites and I HATE them. I have had a number of steel toes since I started working at 16 (it was in a factory) and never have I found a comfy pair.

I like boots, these are really comfy too. I got a pair of those 'cause I was looking for some shoes that would isolate the cold floor, I found those and I really liked them.

You can get boots without a steel toe though..

At home: My Asics Gel Kayano running shoes. Bought them to use at work this winter, used them outside this summer and now at home.

That's right. Crocs. My feet are very happy now when the work-day is over. I stand/walk around on a concrete floor all day.

Outside when it's fall/winter: Timberland hiking boots. I use extra shock absorbent soles. These are new, my old hiking boots were falling apart, but I didn't find a worthy replacement (that I could afford) until these came along.

The most important factor for me is comfort. I have troublesome joints and plantar fasciitis. Footwear has to be stable and shock absorbant. And, I can never walk around in bare feet. My heals hurt after five minutes of that.

I feel for ya there. I have plantar faciitis as well. That shit really hurts! Mine is better now than it was, but there have been times I nearly had to crawl to the bathroom when the urge would take me in the middle of the night....YIKES! Yet another reason to love my Nikes.

Oh yes, I've had my "funny" mornings too. At the moment it's fairly dorment, there's a constant pain but so small I forget about it. Until I put on the wrong pair of shoes and.. oh yes, I remember... :nerd:

For my money, Timberland boots are the finest hiking boots available, with Rocky being a distant second. Their other boots I cannot speak about, but I have put many many miles on my Timberland hikers over all manner of terrain and they have yet to let me down.
