Oh, the old testament doesn't matter? God was just crazy then?

Most christian religions still quote from the old testament. You realize that right?
Oh it matters, I wish we could be like that today, but something happened and changed everything. Can you guess what that might be?

Your knowledge of the bible is clearly fully contained on 2-3 web-pages.

But if you want new testament...

Luke 19:27
But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.
What does that mean to you? and how does that play out in modern society?

Same here. I feel safe most of the time.
And that is a shame, really.

If you didn't know it advocates violence towards unbelievers it looks like I've read much more of it than you. Check it out sometime.
I've actually opened it for purpose beyond rolling joints from its pages. I've read it a few times and compared a number of versions. We have an entire shelf full of Bibles, we also have a Koran and a Torah and more.

context man...
That's what Jesus said "a certain nobleman" said to do, in a teaching.
luke 19:11

Good try though.

Deuteronomy 17 said:
If there be found among you, within any of thy gates which the LORD thy God giveth thee, man or woman, that hath wrought wickedness in the sight of the LORD thy God, in transgressing his covenant; 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 17:4 And it be told thee, and thou hast heard of it, and enquired diligently, and, behold, it be true, and the thing certain, that such abomination is wrought in Israel; 17:5 Then shalt thou bring forth that man or that woman, which have committed that wicked thing, unto thy gates, even that man or that woman, and shalt stone them with stones, till they die.

That took all of two seconds to find, shall I produce more?

Weird that you would think anything would make everything that god said into crap.

I have a lot of experience with the bible. You apparently are unaware of the things that are in it.

What does that mean to you? and how does that play out in modern society?

Some people bomb abortion clinics or kill doctors in church, wage religious wars,, and generally act violent towards other religions. Same old shit.

"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord." -Adolf Hitler

And that is a shame, really.

It's quite nice. It's a shame that some people scurry around afraid of everything.

I've actually opened it for purpose beyond rolling joints from its pages. I've read it a few times and compared a number of versions. We have an entire shelf full of Bibles, we also have a Koran and a Torah and more.

And yet you were completely unaware that it calls for violence against unbelievers. Is that a comprehension issue?

John 3:36
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him

Gal 1:9
As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Psa 149:5-9
Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;
To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;
To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

when one talks of killing, or dying in the bible, one Must Always look at Jesus,
and how he fulfilled those laws to make different punishment besides death.

Old Testament is binding

Psalm 119:160
Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

Psalm 119:151-2
Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth. Concerning thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.

and did you know that the wrath of God quite often is just leaving, and removing
protection, so Satan, and devils can do their own will?

Weird that you would think anything would make everything that god said into crap.

(reference old testament)

And with this statement alone it is pretty much ridiculous to discuss the Bible with you. I suggest you spend a few years in Sunday school and learn the very basics.

And before you come at me with the new covenant defense, which IS completely valid by the way, (assuming of course a sane and rational person is interpreting it) listen to this satanist! That is christian love isn't it?

The freakin' Bible so many purport to understand yet cannot grasp even the most basic concept contained within said:
Matthew 22:35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,
36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Anything more than that and most of the loud evangelical type fucking "christians" should even open that book in my opinion. They obviously are not sane nor stable enough to handle it!

I think they were saying to execute vengeance on the heathens.

"I'd say you've been misinformed."

The bible is wrong now?

Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;
To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;
