THE SAGA CONTINUES...

:joy: HE CALLED! left a message inviting me to go to the beach on my voicemail...

:confuse2: now whaddoIdooohoooo?????

My inclination is to play it cool - don't call back for an hour or so and then say that I've already got things planned (even though I don't) to make him think I'm not as keen as I really am?

Also...why should I make him think that (seeing as my sunday is already "planned") I would drop everything (I had "planned" - like washing me :hair and finishing my novel lol:
) to go out with him!

God forbid!

I have no clue how to do the date thing, I've never really done it seriously before. I had no idea there were so many tricky rules and things.

heelp?

Just me, but why would you play games?
Call, or don't. If you're free, why lie?

*ahem*

because according to "The rules" of dating - it is virtually a sin to let him think you are interested and just give in.

It makes you easier to pursue, an easy catch.

And for men, the fun is in the chase - the pursuit. Another biological/primal instinct I guess. I BET CB could tell us all about that :lloyd:

If I make things easy - he gets bored, he looses interest. I have to make myself appear to be not-so-avaliable and then there is more of an incentive to run through hoops of fire to get me.

:D

ANd I wouldn't exactly call it lieing...I would rather consider it being 'coy' ;)

Yes, I am. Lovesick. ;)

Maybe. And its pretty gut wrenching considering every hour since I've been with him I've been thinking of him.

But if I want to make this work - I have to follow "the rules".

Apparently it really works :D

you've gotta let him do the chasing - It is as simple as that.

As my wise old gran of 76 said to me yesterday;
"I really hope you see him again, but play it cool
Don't let him think you're too keen Let him do the running and you just keep
up with him for now (This is advise from my own many years of experience
with blokes of all kinds) And don't tell your dad I said all this? He'd
probably have a fit"

You know, if a girl doesn't show interest I never call again.

Don't complicate the things that are easy, just be yourself.

Heh.....not all blokes are the same, some of us actually like it when a girl reciprocates and shows her interest too.....anyways, what is life if you don't take a chance?

I say go for it :)

Starting a potential relationship off with deception is asinine.

and.

This mindset would be why the men of my age that I talk to are so very fearful and shellshocked and twitchy, thinking everything is a game.

Don't date cads
"Butt I donna know how to tell if a guy's a cad"

Yeah, that happens. But you carry no guilt if you're always genuine.

Why make a man fall in love of a lie?, I remember an old sig of PrincessLissa or ash, that said it is better to be hated for who you are than loved for who you're not.

By playing these games you're only making him see you as his trophy, and he will lose interest once he thinks he got you.
