What bothers me about that part is that at the time the term would have been "Negro" not "African". This was, after all, 1961; and the government still used the term "Negro" for Blacks. "African" would be used as an origin, not race.

Same thing... right?
Nope... until recently, Barack Obama's driver was...himself.

Barack Obama is not Osama bin laden.... Prof was just trying to smear by proxy. or he dind't actually read the link he tried to use.

In either case..no..not the same thing.

Why the Barack Obama Birth Certificate Issue Is Legitimate

Does this Barack Obama birth certificate issue bug you because, although improbable, it's possible that he's not a natural born citizen, isn't eligible to be President under the Constitution, and this issue could be bigger than Watergate -- or any other "gate" in history?

Given the circumstances, if Barack Obama respected this nation, he would prove it by the simplest and easiest of gestures - unless, of course, all this talk about change and hope was just a bunch of bull, and he's just "another politician." Here's the outline:

If this is a massive conspiracy involving thousands of people and GVT employees ranging over decades..then it's one HELLOVA good job.

Let the guy be President. If he can massage the GVT to work together that easily towards a common goal, then maybe..just maybe...he can pull your collective asse(t)s out of the fire, eh.

The problem is the statement "The Constitution bars those born outside of US territory from becoming President." is incorrect.

Semantics? I don't see what the problem is....Only natural born citizens may become President.

Again, what are two different things?

A "Natural Born Citizen" is one born within the territories held by the US or on US soil. If you are born outside the US, say in a Czeck hospital while your folks are on vacation, are you a natural born citizen...even if you folks are Americans, it's tricky situation.

This is what makes the illegal alien giving birth thing so sticky. Have your mom make a beeline to the border when her water breaks & you will be a citizen even though the effort was not made by you parents to become citizens.

Easy for someone to say whose constitution will not be sullied and bastardized. The fact is that we are talking about the Supreme Law of the Land, not some law on traffic infractions. If one is willing to give up the integrity of the Supreme Law of the Land then they are willing to give up the integrity of everything -- including themselves.

So it's not semantics, it's factually incorrect.

And there's no need to flog, as it's already been addressed once.

That line from the website should have said: The Constitution bars those born outside of US territory from becoming President, unless at least one parent is a US citizen and certain residency or physical presence requirements were fulfilled by the citizen parent or parents prior to the child's birth.

The requirements state: If only one parent was a U.S. citizen at the time of a child's birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16.

In the instance of Mr. From-the-Office-of-the-President-Elect -- his American mother was 18 yrs. old at the time of his birth. 21 is the magic number. His mother was the one who had to fulfill the requirement for BHO to be considered by law a natural-born U.S. Citizen.

That is "the real one." It's perfectly acceptable to 99.9% of the world. It's just the 0.1% fringe that are whining about it.

That pesky .1% governmental fringe rears its' ugly head:

If you believe you are a U.S. citizen, you'll want a document to prove it. If you were born on U.S. soil and there is a record of your birth, a standard U.S. birth certificate issued by a state government is your primary proof of U.S. citizenship. (Birth certificates issued by hospitals are not official records and do not serve as proof of citizenship.)

A forged "Certification of live birth" does not a standard U.S. birth certificate make.

You just stated the difference yourself!
