For the last century the US has had it's own Marxist attempting to fundamentally change the American socio/political landscape based the on same failed models of Europe and USSR . RM, I've made an attempt at understanding other cultures and political systems by reading history books, such as many on Red China and it's development (the factors that brought China to become a communist country and how the Cultural Revolution came to be). I've also read books on the history of this country, including the development of our Constitution. It has helped me to better understand where we are as a country as well as our place in the world and that relationship.

Marxism is just another theory. I would suggest reading up on it some to help you better understand how far we are from it.
