I have a black throw-cat exactly like that one over my couch right now.

Now, y'see. If a dog does that, it's an invitation to rub his belly, and pretty much send him to doggy heaven. A cat does that ... and it's jsut bait for the trap.

So I did a little research and apparently my kitty is a Bombay cat. The pictures I found of them, only a few of them had the little pointy bit of hair in the tops of the ears like my cat's got, and when Jordan purrs, you don't hear it in the next room... but otherwise, he exactly matches the Bombay cat profile. That's the only breed he looks similar to, and they say nothing else in the cat world resembles a Bombay... which was specifically bred to look like a miniature Indian black panther.
