Rugby is for men who are too small for NFL football. ;) I've seen both...NFL players are bigger...much bigger... :eek5:

Thats because of all the padding they wear to protect their fragile selves :p
Look up Jonah Lomu on google. Now he plays rugby. And he dont wear any padding, neother do his victims.

You're talking an average of 275 pounds for a lineman without the pads...thats 125 Kg, or, for those who want togo back in time, just under 20 stone. ;) Some are up over 290. I'm not going to get into the rugby vs NFL fight here. Just go to any NFL player listing, and go to any Rugby player listing, and judge for yourself about size.

My point was those girls wear padding. Our guys get tackled round the waist by 280lbs of flying meat without that padding.

Funny...Too bad Rugby players don't hit hard enough to require padding. Bunch of pansies. :grinyes:

Never played have you? imagine getting an illegal tackle around the neck without a helmet or padding

owch. trust me they hit hard speaking from experience. Oh and you dont have a chest guard to protect your solar plexus from the boot studs of the tackled player. Also speaking from experience.

And most of these guys won't make the cut...

As for your claim of 'illegal' tackels, those were illegal. The only tackles illegal in the NFL involve the knees, piling on, and hitting in the back. Those pads are to keep those guys alive, because of the forces they hit with. ;) Wimp. :D

*wonders how far he can take this joke before stewey explodes*

Gato.....gato......gato.

American footballers can let themselves get that fat because only one person per team actually does any running........the rest just line up opposite each other and headbutt the opposition for the duration of the game ;)

It is nice that they get so many breaks to get their breath back tho'....it'd be a shame if they had to sweat while on national television :D

Haha, you should've seen 340 pound Keith Traylor run 67 yards on an interception return 2 years ago, one of the funniest things I've ever seen. They ran out of oxygen tanks on the sideline after that. :D
