As Toledo burns

If a black group marched with the creed of wanting to destroy the white (and other races) I would see your point as it regards to what I am talking about.

Again, Nazis aren't simply for the advancement of white people, they are for the extermination of other races and for violence against non-whites. That mandate should not be protected under free speech laws. Free speech isn't a sacred right, it has necessary limits. Nazi groups should be illegal.

Free speech is only limited when there is a direct corrolation to said speech and a real threat of physical violence. This is a term called assault. If said threat of physical harm comes to fore, then it's called assault and battery. Notice that the limit on free speech is not there at all. Just the limit on the real threat, and use, of violence.

In all fairness, there is the whole thing about shouting fire in a crowded theatre too...

I thought that would fall under assault, as your speech caused both direct and indirect physical harm to other people...

Guess that's why you have the badge and gun, while all I've got is a laurel, and hardy handshake...:lol2:

So is a Nazi parade in a black neighborhood shouting fire in a crowded theatre?

How would you (SnP and any other confederate-zealot) and your closest friends and family react to a group dedicated to the extermination of all descendents of confederate soldiers (lets call them the National Association for the Advancement of Yankees, or NAAY - bumpersticker "I'm Pro-Yankee and I vote!") staged a parade in Incestville, AL or Earnhart, NC or Methlab, TN?

Now that you've both broken out the ol' Southern stereotype book AND shown yourself to be a typically ill-informed Midwesterner, I'd answer by saying I'd do what these blivets should've done - locked my front door and ignored their sorry asses until they went the fuck away.

Your assumption of all southerners being zealots and your lovely choice of town names does whatever weak argument you had no good.

It's called my day to day life. Every vestige of my Southerm heritage is under constant attack from all fronts. Vigilance is a must. If I go a week without seeing a news story on how the Confederate battle flag is being removed from this place, or how this school is under attack for having Rebels as their mascot, or some smartass school teacher telling our kids that their dialect is WRONG, it's a miracle.

Confederate veterans were forced to sign documents and take oaths of allegiance after the War for Southern Independence was over. Many refused, God bless 'em. They did so with full knowledge that they forfeited many rights as well as governemnt financial assistance.

How would I react? You want the truth?

With gunfire. They'll never take me alive either.

As you see 'em from where? 1200 miles away? You ever actually spent any meaningful amount of time in this area?

If it's south of the Mason-Dixon line, I don't want anything to do with it.
