We've had our windows open almost two weeks. Power bill just came yesterday, down almost $70. :headbang: We'll see what the next one shows.
 
supposed to get the first frost of the season tonight. definately been sweatshirt weather.

Mine was down to $45 this month, the highest this summer was $60.

Of course, I usually go off the grid on the weekends, when my kw/h are the highest. But now that red diesel is $3/gal it will probably be cheaper to use the line feed.
 
I wish I had a cheaper way to generate my own.
I'm thinking seriously about putting my wood-stove insert back in this winter.
These 2 heat-pumps kill bill. :alienhuh:
I think without the heatpump units, my bill would never get over $200,
unless I do a lot of welding or other heavy machinery shop work. :confused:
 
We're getting our first freeze tonight.
It's gonna hit 30F here.
The high for the day 65F, is already gone.

Actually I'm such a wimp I fired up the natural gas
central heat last night, it dropped to 69F in my house Brrrrrrr

Of course last months gas bill was $21.50 for the whole month...
