Subject: Help Please Important
You might have read in the newspaper about Amina Lawal from
Nigeria. She is
condemned to death because she has a child out of wedlock. As
soon as the
child is weaned from the breast Amina will be buried to the chest
and will
be stoned to death.
Amnesty International has started a worldwide action to try to
prevent this
from happening.

Please sign this petition. A similar action a few months ago for
another
Nigerian woman in the same situation resulted in a successful
appeal against
the ruling.

Please forward this to as many people as possible, maybe we can
save her
life.

I wouldn't want to impose my beliefs on another country :D
Likewise, we must respect other cultures because otherwise we become oppressive Americans and the world would hate us then. I don't want the world to hate me.

It's not genocide they're committing. It's their believe that you don't have sex/kids outside of marriage. They're punishing how they believe they should. Who am I to tell them they're wrong?

And we execute murderers. Their society is just different. Since Justintime argued against absolute truths, we won't judge other cultures because they are right in their own culture set. Therefore, what they are doing is lawful and right by their standards. Who am I as an arrogant American to tell others what to do and what is right? :confuse2:

If the point you are trying to make is that americans don't butt in where they are not wanted/needed then sorry, that boat sailed long time ago bub.

Read my post Justintime, we as a different culture have no right to tell another culture what is right and wrong, because there is no absolute truths as you liberal socialists have been arguing with me a while ago.

Sure the law is the law. But where's the guy? Shouldn't he be killed to? This is the exact situation Christ was in with the prostitute. The crowd wanted to kill her but nobody mentioned that the man caught with her was equally to blame. Which is partially why he wasn't challenged.

(I did sign it though)

Look, i did'nt post this thread to argue about it, if you want to, sign it, if not don't either way shut the fuck up for gods sake.

In their society, women take blame, not men. We have no right to judge them because they are right in their own society.

[/left wing socialist bullshit off]

I can't see how you want people to sign that petition if you don't believe in absolute truths in some form. Absolute truths is a right wing idea, and you aren't exactly conservative.

LL, once again, i did not post this to start a discussion, i only posted it for those who WANT to, ok? This is not another childish babble, this is serious and if you're stuck enough not to understand that, then all my respect for you is lost.

I'm not judging anyone. I'm voicing my opinion in a free society. If my vote makes a difference in their world then i say that's fair. But i haven't passed judgement. I don't even know them.

Well you know me, I'm right-wing and have no problem signing that because I fully believe in absolute truths and that they are wrong. So yes, I signed it. Peace.
