Might I suggest something perhaps more useful? Possession convictions don't lead to prison terms. It leads to a military stint. First offence, you get boot camp. Second offence, a tour of Iraq. And no, they don't get to take their passports with them. If they wanna run, sayonara. They get to stay whereever they are, and the west is well rid of them.

Oh, did I forget to mention ..... minimum wage during that stint?

Ummm...If I made minimum wage, I'd earn, before taxes, $966 per week. This is based on the theory that I'm on call 24/7. I'd be happy to earn that much. :grinyes:

Okay...one question...Do you think a bunch of guys who are into drugs would be ideal troops? They've already proven that back when Napolean was running around. (drunk on duty = death) I'd sooner shoot them than the enemy.

There have been particular units derived from felons... menial task units. Bottom of the barrel shit jobs. The kind of stuff they deserve.

Not even for that. SOme poor shmoe out in the field, slogging away and dodging bullets comes back to his tent to find all of his personal goods missing. We'd have to assign guards to every tent...not that that doesn't happen now, but it occurs at a much lower rate.

Me have lived in Phoenix all me life.
Me have seen what has gone on here.

Not to worry about their rights, the fact is they have many more rights than a poor slug born here that plays by the 'rules'.

In 86 I had my company car totaled in a parking lot. I wasn’t even in the vehicle. The guy that did it was a drunk illegal who had two weeks before received a ticket for driving without a license. My Neighbor has had two cars totaled by illegals. Another buddy of mine was rear ended by a drunk illegal in every case they have Zero responsibility.

Hell we passed a law (prop 200) to try to merely preclude them folks from getting govt. freebies and voting and the Mess-kin equivalent of the ACLU (MALDEF) will go all the way to the Supreme Court to stop it. Ha Ha ha yeah the Ninth Circuit Court Oh Boy.


Yep I've seen the place I grew up in become Mexi-north and it ain't been an improvement.

Not to worry everything comes out in the wash tho...

I'd expect that illegals from every country have a set of rights anywhere in the world, but what you're talking about is almost immunity not rights. Time to talk to your congress man about it.
 
The politicians realized long ago that if they appeased the illegals and made it so that their votes could be counted as well as earning the loyalty of their families in the states that they could arrange to stay in power a great deal easier. Its corruption... plain and simple.

As Unc pointed out, corruption plays into it. Within the last decade, Hispanics have become the second most populous group in the US, surpassing the blacks as "head" minority. The pussy legislators don't want to piss off the legal Mexican immigrants in case they are housing illegals.
