If both are consenting to the relationship and the sexual contact, it's not rape.

Keep in mind that age of consent comes into play.

None of the women in this case were underaged, and none of the women involved claimed to have been harrased. The blackmail comes from one person not involved in the relationship, asking for money to keep things away from Letterman's spouse. Hush money.

No, CBS is Viacom (so is MTV, for what it's worth). GE owns NBC.

During the on-air admission last night, he alluded to the fact that it could have job implications. That said, he is now in the No. 1 ratings spot for his timeslot and after watching NBC have the No. 1 spot with Leno and then seeing it slip after Conan took over, I would think CBS would weigh that very carefully when considering whether to fire him due to some company policy or morality clause in his contract.

Damn, its been a while since I watched Letterman, he used to be NBC.

(we don't watch any broadcast TV in our home)

LONG while. He moved to CBS in 1993 (in big part because they gave him the 11:30 time slot after NBC passed over Letterman to give Leno the job) and then NBC tried to keep the "Top Ten" lists, etc. as intellectual property.

I did like where Letterman would do "Ball State University Fighting Football Cardinals Fighting Football Cardinals Highlights." They'd show Ball State playing against, say, Oklahoma and Ball State would kick a field goal. Then they'd show the final score: Oklahoma 56, Ball State 3.

Being a high-powered celebrity makes it okay to rape children & to have sex with those with less power than you if your're a liberal. However, if you're a non-celeb with power or a conservative, it's sexual harrasment/rape/pedophilia?

The funniest part about this is, unlike our President, who lied to us about his behavior, these people think we really care who they fuck? I hope his wife takes him to the cleaners.
