London shaken by explosions

The brits already know how to deal with home grown terrorists, funded from the outside. They've have decades of practice with the IRA (funded by americans)

I knew the IRA was in Ireland but I wasnt aware we funded them.

Winky: Timothy McVeigh, Eric Roudolph, as mentioned the IRA and there are several others I belive Bish at one point mentioned

Well I only hope we can exhibit the same degree
of stoicism if this type of inconvenience
visits our shores.

So what areas of your country would be great places
for Arab internment camps?

Erm nowhere. Can't you have them ?

Not directly but they were allowed to operate as a charity and collected £15 million a year. Tell you the truth I prefered the IRA at least they called before hand and they would never do suicide bombs and they had a fairly legit reason. (excuse fairly large sentence)

Loppie,
Firstly I'm unable to discern the meaning you intended with the phrase: "Can't you have them ?"

Are you saying, can't America intern all the illegal alien Arabs.
(not today but we will right after the first mushroom cloud billows
over an American city causing a six figure death toll,
any Liberal voices raised in protest will be silenced with a boot up their asses)

Or do you want:

America to intern all YOUR terrorist Arabs?
(sorry bucko you let em' in your country you deal with them)

Now as to your comments regarding the IRA.

"IRA at least they called before hand"

My, that was mighty white of them.

"they would never do suicide bombs"

Sheesh civilized terrorists?!?

"they had a fairly legit reason"

Well cricky mate!
You seem to be on to something there.

Ya see, there will never be a resolution with
Islamic terror until they are completely defeated.
Our side must win
cuz I sure as hell ain't gonna be praying to Mecca five times a day
and you ain't never gonna get American wimen's to wear a Burka!

Good thing they don't consider Canadians "infidels" ..... :grinno:
Yup...but Canadian Iman's consider the terrorists 'infidels'.

More than 120 Islamic religious leaders from across Canada issued a declaration Thursday denouncing acts of terrorism as a perversion of their faith.

"Anyone who claims to be a Muslim and participates in any way in the taking of innocent life is betraying the very spirit and letter of Islam," said the statement, which was read by Imam Ahmad Kutty of the Islamic Institute of Toronto after midday prayers at a mosque.

The declaration was organized by the Canadian Council on American-Islamic Relations and signed by imams representing Muslim communities across the country. It was intended as a response to the first London bombings on July 7, but wound up being made public on another day of attacks in the British capital.

"We categorically and unequivocally reject such acts. We will confront and challenge the extremist mindset that produces this perversion of our faith," said Kutty, who read the declaration to the media and about 50 worshippers.

"It is our religious duty as imams to confront this evil," Kutty told reporters after his statement. "It is our duty to preach against all kinds of extremism."

The message was aimed at both non-Muslims and Canada's nearly 600,000 Muslims.

"We have to educate Canadians there are no such things as we and them. We need to educate both Muslims and non-Muslims about Islam," said Iman Man Fayaz Tilly from the Muslim Council of Calgary.

The declaration came several days after the largest Sunni Muslim group in Britain issued a religious edict condemning the bombings.

The leader of the Canadian Islamic Congress, Mohamed Elmasry, also condemned the blasts in London.

Ha! Looks like the terrorists have underestimated the Brits!

'SUICIDE BOMBER' SHOT

Police have killed a suspected suicide bomber at a Tube station in south London.

Armed officers opened fire on the suspect after he hurdled a ticket barrier and raced along a platform at Stockwell station.

Police screamed at passengers to evacuate and are thought to have shot the suspect as he stumbled on to a train.

"The policeman nearest to me had the black automatic pistol in his left hand, he held it down to the guy and unloaded five shots into him."

Unconfirmed reports suggest the man was involved in Thursday's assault on the capital.

Police are believed to be under orders to shoot to kill if they believe someone is about to detonate a bomb.

The outraged Liberal press in the U.S. would say the suspect was executed without being given his rights; the ACLU would file a lawsuit against the police and government....

The American cops would use it as an excuse to kill any black man they got a hold of.

j/k , of course.

Yes, a war measures act. Tony Blair, in a moment of pure insanity, called last weeks bombings "a crime" instead of an act of war. If the lunatic asylum wants to play rough, it's time to play rough or give up.

An act of war is committed by a country. Terrorists don't have countries.
Calling it a crime fits the description.

Terrorism: The unlawful use or threatened use of force or violence by a person or an organized group against people or property with the intention of intimidating or coercing societies or governments, often for ideological or political reasons.

Calling it a crime makes it a police matter. Terrorism is hardly a matter for the local constable.

heh heh heh

So these are acts of war.
and
The enemy soldiers are not in uniform.
so
Out of hand 'battlefield’ executions are the norm.

Welcome to the 21st century!

Lordy lordy the American cops are gonna love this!!!

Stop!!!
BLAM

Good shot Joe, he sure stopped!

Tell that to the Bobbies. They seem to be doing a pretty good job of stopping the terrorists....mighty quickly too!

"The policeman nearest to me had the black automatic pistol in his left hand, he held it down to the guy and unloaded five shots into him."

The gloves are off!

I'm not sure how the Americans view us British, but when it comes to extreme violence we are pretty good. 1 down 4 to go. By the way it wasn't the police who killed that terrorist. Only 1 security force do that, the SAS. They are the model for Delta Force and have no idea what taking crap is, or arresting for that matter. :)

Can't really say what the American view of the British is, either - there are a lot of us. However, I do know that no one with a lick of sense fucks with the SAS. That's the first I've heard of their involvement in today's little dust-up.

Want an idea of how we feel? GW said something to the effect of "We stand with our British friends during these trying times" & got a prolonged standing O.

We're with ya. If only Tony were.

Yeah, I can say that for me. I'm truly not sure I can say that for everybody. Lot of gutless weaklings in my country these days.
