...or disarm him....or take the weapon when he hands it to you....maybe some other choices as well.
 
You both have decent arguments, and only god if he exists will be the final judge of whether its wrong or not. This war could well fuck up world relations that another war could ensue, while i feel and hope America will win it might be at great cost.

That was a concern. However, since we've started kickin ass & taking names, there haven't been ANY terrorist attacks, outside of the ME (mostly Israel) and even those have slowed to a crawl.

It's come to my attention, it should have been completely obvious, that terrorists don't attack those who attack back. They prefer to kill innocent victims, mostly wimins & children.

That's my biggest concern as well. It seems to some degree it has done that already. Hopefullly we find WMDs, or some vast conspiracy linking Iraq to 911, or plant some evidence along these lines. That sounds bad, but I guess its better than the alternative.
 
OLI, the alternative I was speaking of was finding no justification for this war. My point was that I'd rather us plant some evidence justifying it, than let it be exposed to the world that we really didn't have any. Ok, you think we do, and a lot of Americans seem to think we do now, but the rest of the world, and some Americans even, are largely unconvinced. This is why the cost is going to be so high!

The alternative could have been to wait for UN support. But we (GW) didn't like that idea (there is a bad economy, and he wants a second term, so he needs something to justify 4 more years). As much as I hated Clinton, at least he was a good diplomat. Bush, well, he's short sighted and simple minded to say the least. I voted for him, I can say that with a clear conscience :D

We should have waited for international support. As it turns out, he clearly wasn't the immedatiate threat the media would have you believe. If he was, it wouldn't be so difficult to turn up evidence. But its about liberation and freeing the people and ending the 'axis of evil' now. I forgot, sorry. The media was talking up WMDs prior to the war to rally support, and of course none are found. It kind of reminds me of those 'mass graves' they kept going on and on about to rally support for the war in Kosovo. Strange how talk of mass graves and the lies that they even existed stopped after troops went into Kosovo. I never heard a retraction on that, did you? The same will happen here. Sorry, I've been lied to enough to not to believe everything I'm told. I didn't buy those lies, and I don't buy the current ones.
 
Btw, I have listened to the argument over and over, that we have already been waiting for 12 years, etc etc. But that still doesn't make it right, or legal for that matter. But hey, Clinton violated international law at will, so why should GW feel bad about it. I know, the precident has been set. Hell, it was set even before Clinton, he was just more blatant about it, just like GW.

Since you seem to be against war in general, you're not as wrong freak. In the overall course of things, yes, being against this war is proving to be the incorrect place to be. we're finding more & more reasons everyday that we should have done this 10 years ago.
 
like ive said before i am against all war but i prefer sadam out of power. thats pretty much why im against this war.

But that's what I meant as well. We don't need to find WMD's for the war to have been justified. If the French, Germans, and Russians weren't more concerned about their own interests than we are about ours, they would have done the right thing and agreed to take action. The justification is that there is a terrible... fuck it. I've explained the ME situation before, and how the course of action GW is taking is the correct and logical one. I don't feel like going through it all again.
 
Ok, sounds fair. We agree to disagree then. I just hope they plant something good. I don't want the world to become anti-american over this. I think we should plant some plutonium or some U 235. That way, nobody will question our actions. Nerve gas just doesn't cut it. If we're gonna do it, we ought to do it right :D
