I'd rather be naive and angsty than old and complacent.

Juvenile, I may be but then thats a matter of opinion - and very ageist if I do say so myself, provocative maybe, Proffesur - but could you or Gonz or anybody holding any extreme right-wing positions claim any differently? I think not...
See, you're having to reach pretty far out there now. It's really getting pretty pathetic. The fact remains that you come here and spew all sorts of bullshit, and when what you say is questioned, instead of backing it up with facts you post links to opinion sites, and stick extreme left-wing buzzword labels on people (racist, homophobic, "ageist," fascist, etc.) hoping to shame us into taking your position.

ditto. btw: Thanks for giving me all the more reason not to give a damn about your precious viewpoints
You expect us to treat your viewpoints as gospel, yet you say you "dont give a damn" about ours. If I point out how hypocritical that is, and how it erases what little credibility you had, it will be interesting to see which of the following you say it makes me: racist, homophobic, sexist, or ageist. Or maybe you'll throw out a new term, such as anti-Semitic, or you'll just try to get me with the blanket statement that I "don't celebrate diversity."

Do you expect people to like you when you spew vitriol at them? Even those who might have been on your side (me for instance, being a pinko lefty commie), would now think twice. Have you ever thought that some of us post here for FUN?? And that is the reason why we don't all go wading ass deep in political rhetoric? I don't know about you, but I've got better things to do with my time than try and convince gonz et. al. that they're completely wrong.

Can't we all just get along?....

Personally I don't give a rats either way... *shrug*

If we were all the same and reacted in the same ways this forum would be a pretty boring place to post... Yes... often TG is a tad extremist but... who cares?

She does.

BoP, much like our Communistrator is, as she said, a commie pinko fag...guess that's not far enough left for the femi-nazi.

I love that Rodney King guy!

Run from the cops, get yer ass whooped, yer brothas burn their own 'hood down
killing 55 and wounding 2,000 and you get a $3.8 million settlement from the 'Man'!

Then he turns around and has enough subsequent run-ins with the law to make anyone proud.

And to top it all off a Brit is quoting him!!!

America what a country!!!

Ironically, he's the poster child for the LAPD in favor of beatings. They one administered didn't go far enough. (unsure if I'm serious or not)

Personally, Gonz, they shouldn't of touched him after he was down the first time. Most people think that 'attack' he made on the police was justification for the beating...what they don't know is that that 'attack' happened after about 10 minutes of continuous strikes with the night-sticks, and charges from the tasers. Police, or not, how much is a man supposed to take? If it had been Reginald Denny on the ground, I bet you'd feel differently, wouldn't you?

Rodney King...He was the black motorist beaten by LA cops about 10 years ago. He made quite a splash in the media...until subsequent arrests for drunk driving...He's basically the poster child for LA police brutality.

Oh! Thaaaaat Rodney King!

Black or white what the cops did was down right wrong...

I was thinking of an American black comedian... kinda short, high voice, gets excited and screeches... been in films with whats-his-name... you know... chauvanist... slag/stallion... distinctive laugh... Eddie Murphy.

Now who the f**k is that guy? :alienhuh:

speaking of "bad karma" I refuse to come to this thread again. you should be ashamed. But at least you've proved your point, congratulations...and of course, I should thank you for most kindly helping to prove mine....heheheheheheheheh

I'd rather be hated for my opinions than loved for some superficial significance.

I don't think I could live with myself if i were anything but extreme, its just my nature.

:brush:
Is it my fault you're not equiped to deal with cynicism and sarcasm? y'know they do say reactions like the ones you've all most graciously exhibited, when looked back on only sum up to moral hysteria at the fact that an alternative voice proudly unleashes a perspective that de-stabilizes your own. And that hysteria is merely the reaction to try and back up that pseudo-stability upon which your whole world revolves around.

all I can say is all the controversy has only helped me further... don't y'know,
whether you agree with me or not, at least my voice is quote: "painfully obvious" [no pain no gain]

and well, I guess theres no such thing as bad publicity...

:D

and really, would'ya want me to do that? whatever else would you have to do to liven up your pointless existence except bitch about me?

Typical liberal...you're not that important. ;)

why the thread? Why the controversy? Why the lynch mob? If I'm that "typical" then why be so defensive? If my opinions seem that out-there then theres obviously no need to be.

GONZ: Making up words - angsty. How quaint.

Ageist?

Another thing us delinquent youth have:imagination.

Ageist?

why, yes...oh wise one.

______________
Ageism: Ageism is discrimination against a person or group on the grounds of age.

Although theoretically the word can refer to the discrimination against any age group (e.g. prejudice specifically targeted at fortysomethings), ageism usually comes in one of two forms: discrimination against youth, and discrimination against the elderly.

I was there. I saw every second of that video...many times.

The cops were wrong. RK was wrong. The jury was wrong. Damian Williams was wrong. The thugs in south central were wrong.

Denny was the only innocent party.
