The Budget

The Consitution is the be all & end all of our federal government (jeez, why do you think they put 2 amendments in the first ten to address this?)

You need to realize that. They also included a way to update those rules (no, it isn't the Executive Order nor a new agency for regulations & czars) If you want change, allow it. Otherwise it's simply the over-extension of the federal bureacracy leading to the interference into our lives & suppresion of the economy & our rights.

You are talking past me, though I understand what you say. I do not disagree with your last post. But Joe the plumber will not make smart amendments. He will lobby for tax incentives to buy marlboros before you know what is happening.

I'll bet Joe the Plumber would never had pulled a stupid stunt like this

AMENDMENT XVII
Passed by Congress May 13, 1912. Ratified April 8, 1913.

Note: Article I, section 3, of the Constitution was modified by the 17th amendment.

The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. The electors in each State shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the State legislatures.

When vacancies happen in the representation of any State in the Senate, the executive authority of such State shall issue writs of election to fill such vacancies: Provided, That the legislature of any State may empower the executive thereof to make temporary appointments until the people fill the vacancies by election as the legislature may direct.

This amendment shall not be so construed as to affect the election or term of any Senator chosen before it becomes valid as part of the Constitution.

oh come on winks...
they progressives have been plotting, and clawing away at this setup for a loooong time.
In just one election, we got things started turning back in the right direction.
A 1/3rd swing.

Many people are waking up, although there are still many who aren't, and some that never will.

Just wait til next summer, and watch things really start ramping up.
The tea party made a showing, but you ain't seen nothing yet.
You gonna see what may be the largest Partay in history.
i so hope that happens.

well the strategy change.
No need for the rally.
It's going to be a landslide for Romney.
It's going to look like he's the most popular in a long time, but the reality
is Obama is just the most unpopular.

i'm sorry, did you say strategy? the same bunch that were stupid enough to support a long list of half-baked glow-tards like herman dipshit cain and sideshow rick perry until they ended up with the mitt that no one really likes by default... they's got strategy huh?

One party rule
its worked everytime its been tried

yeah at that pace might as well make a silly argument for the return of monarchy. keep on whackin' dude.

I just don't see it happening. Bush seemed like he would lose reelection in '04 yet he won (although I think there were shenanigans happening in at least Ohio).
Personally I didn't think it would be as close as it was. (with the so called war and all)

obummer has nothing to do with whether or not the Rs actually have a solid plan. i'd like to see the rubber hit the road, not the massage parlor prostitute.

any large scale plan that Was in the works was scrapped.
(is that clearer)
and besides, the 'tea party' doesn't necessarily mean republican.
I know the left wants to make it out to be that way, and it probably is the 'majority',
but it's never been orchestrated by the RNC despite what you think.

edit: (well some chapter may have been co-opted like the tea party express, but
not the locals)

was i talking about the tea party? i didn't mean them specifically... cain and perry may have had tea party support but that's not what made them drooling half-mongoloid twits. but who gives a fuck now? i just want to see an economic plan that i can get behind... you too, i assume...

Fuck Yeah
but it won't happen
they will continue to overspend us smack dab into bankruptcy
its a foregone conclusion

you are right, there's no reason to even continue this charade of voting
'bout the only difference between the parties is the speed at which we
want to race towards the collapse
