Water, water, everywhere...

eh, it's all good.
Like I said before...The rivers are strong.:beardbng:

I imagine that the power bills will climb even more though.
(for 'Georgia Power' users...I'm on Jackson)

well the ground is getting a little runoff now.
We might gain a few inches in the Lake Lanier.:nerd:

eh, I could take it or leave it right now.

The temperature with this rain is right nasty though.
Makes for a good ground soaker though.

as previously predicted...I expect this trend to extend well into the new year.
Maybe even have a white Christmas.

we'll get a little soon, and I'm predicting a wet new year.:hippy:

Area of most extreme drought in Ga. shrinking
UNDATED - The part of Georgia considered the driest in the state continue to shrink - and no longer includes Gainesville and surrounding areas.

Because of the rains the past couple of months, drought conditions in Gainesville and most of northeast Georgia have greatly improved.

In fact, that is the case statewide, according to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor. It lists only the northwest corner of the state with the most extreme drought designation... "exceptional."

A large area of the state, from Rabun County to the Carrollton area, is now designated as having "extreme" drought conditions. Only the southeast corner of the state and a string of counties along the Georgia-Florida border are no longer considered in the throes of the drought.

Rainfall in Gainesville the past three months totals 13.43 inches; the previous three months? 4.62 inches. The deficit for the year is at 2.54 inches in Gainesville.
