London shaken by explosions

I was reading another article on that townhall.com and I'm not entirely sure you can trust the point of view of 1 columnist.

This is the lesson of the atrocities in London. It's unlikely that the 21st century will remember that this new Western crossroads for global jihad was once the home of Churchill, Piccadilly and Sherlock Holmes.

They murder innocent people then blame their actions on everything but that which is actually to blame: Islam

The men who blame Britain
(Filed: 20/07/2005)

Critics of Tony Blair's policy in Iraq and Afghanistan claimed yesterday that Britain must share some of the responsibility for the Underground and bus bombings in London.

While moderate Muslim leaders agreed to try to dissuade disaffected youths from turning to terrorism, radical clerics blamed the Government - and even the public for re-electing Mr Blair - for making the country a target.

The suggestions that the Government and even the voters must share some of the blame angered Mr Blair and overshadowed talks at No 10 between representatives of the Muslim community and leaders of the main parties.

Radical Muslims who did not take part in the talks said they would not be silenced by warnings of new legislation making it a crime to glorify or condone terrorism.

Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed said that support for America over Afghanistan and Iraq and the re-election of Mr Blair had all contributed to the attacks.

Anjem Choudary, the British leader of the militant Islamist group al-Muhajiroun, said that Muslim leaders should not meet Mr Blair for talks while Muslims were being "murdered" in Iraq.

"The British Government wants to show that they are on the side of justice and of truth, whereas in reality the real terrorists are the British regime, and even the British police, who have tried to divide the Muslim community into moderates and extremists, whereas this classification doesn't exist in Islam."

So one of their leaders says a muslim is a muslim is a muslim---that they are ALL extremists, and there's no such thing as a "moderate" muslim?

More threats coming from the "religion of peace":

Al Qaeda issues “final warning” to Europe

July 19, 2005, 7:27 PM (GMT+02:00)

The same Abu Hafs al-Masri Brigades which claimed London’s July 7 rail-bus attacks gives European states still in Iraq – Denmark, the Netherlands, Britain, Italy – one month to bring their soldiers out.

Otherwise, said the statement, whose authenticity has not been verified, “there will be a bloody war in the service of God.” There will be no more messages, just actions that will be engraved on the heart of Europe.

“We are giving you this deadline so that you stop running behind the US and the Zionists… in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine.”

Most recent acts of terrorism have been committed by Muslims.
Saudi Arabia is our 'ally' remember?

If you want 'all' ... you could say that all acts of terro have been committed by humans. Terrorism has been around for decades. Hell, London alone has had more terrorist attacks by white roman-catholic Irishmen than Muslims.

more details

Three London Underground stations were evacuated at midday Thursday following reports of incidents, British Transport Police said. The Fire Brigade was investigating a report of smoke at one station.

Emergency services also were responding to a report of an incident on a bus in east London, police said.

A London Underground spokesman said there were no reports of casualties in the unspecified incidents.

The reports came two weeks to the day after attackers bombed three subway stations and a double-decker bus, killing 56, including four suicide bombers.

On Thursday, the Warren Street, Shepherds Bush and Oval stations were evacuated. Emergency services personnel were called to the stations, police said.

"People were panicking. But very fortunately the train was only 15 seconds from the station," witness Ivan McCracken told Sky news.

McCracken said he smelled smoke at the Warren Street station, and people were panicking and coming into his carriage. He said he spoke to an Italian man who was comforting a woman after the evacuation.

"He said that a man was carrying a rucksack and the rucksack suddenly exploded. It was a minor explosion but enough to blow open the rucksack," McCracken said.

"The man then made an exclamation as if something had gone wrong. At that point everyone rushed from the carriage."

Services on the Victoria and Northern lines were suspended following reports of a number of incidents, the London Underground said.

"I was in the carriage and we smelled smoke — it was like something was burning," said Losiane Mohellavi, 35, who was evacuated at Warren Street.

"Everyone was panicked and people were screaming. We had to pull the alarm. I am still shaking."

I wonder if the English still have the anti terrorism statues active?... the ones made to combat the IRA wherein they could bypass most due process and arrest and detain whomever and whenever for however.

Atta's father praises London bombs

Wednesday, July 20, 2005; Posted: 8:57 a.m. EDT (12:57 GMT)

CAIRO, Egypt (CNN) -- The father of one of the hijackers who commandeered the first plane that crashed into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, praised the recent terror attacks in London and said many more would follow.

Speaking to CNN producer Ayman Mohyeldin Tuesday in his apartment in the upper-middle-class Cairo suburb of Giza, Mohamed el-Amir said he would like to see more attacks like the July 7 bombings of three London subway trains and a bus that killed 52 people, plus the four bombers.

The man, who gave his age as "at least 70," said he had no sorrow for what happened in London, and said there was a double standard in the way the world viewed the victims in London and victims in the Islamic world.

Cursing in Arabic, el-Amir also denounced Arab leaders and Muslims who condemned the London attacks as being traitors and non-Muslims.

He passionately vowed that he would do anything within his power to encourage more attacks.

When asked if he would allow a CNN crew to videotape another interview with him, el-Amir said he would give his permission -- for a price of $5,000.

That money, he said, would not be kept for himself, but would be donated to someone to carry out another terror attack.

El-Amir said that $5,000 was about how much it would cost to finance another attack in London.

CNN's crew refused to pay for the interview and left after el-Amir's request.

It is CNN policy not to pay people for interviews.
same source as TOO.

They're refusing to pay for an interview, not because it would help finance another attack, but because it's their 'policy' ?
Yet..they still print his interview.
