Seems to be the case. In our family..until me that is, it would be (Given name) (father's given name) (Joseph) (Grandfather's given name) (Family name) - in the case of a man. For a woman, it's similar except for the Joseph part, which would be Marie. and it would be mother's and grandmother's names. Makes for a long list eventually, especially if the first name was hyphenated. My Granmother was Rose-Anne. :)
