If your kid is in the foster system, you don't give a shit how they turn out.

I was using the general 'you', but I still beg to differ. Plenty of parents have cleaned up and want to get their kid out of the foster care system and wonder who they're with now and how they'll be when they get back. It ain't easy to get your kid back...but it IS doable.
