Come on, Gato. You know you fly boys stay in 4 star hotels after you get back from making a bombing run :D .

LL, you should enlist in the Marine Corps;).

Marines eh? I'm listening... Give me some advice or info...

There's a reason they call them Marine Corpse...Typo intended... :D

BTW. I've never stayed in a 4-star motel. You're thinking about the flyers, AKA Zipper-Suited-Sun-Gods. ;)

Lets see, my dad was a CSM in Japan, Korea & Panama during and following WWII, retired 21 years in 1962. I went in around 1982, ComSec-does that count Gato? Are you forward supply or SeaBee?

back to the subject at hand.

Irak isn't attacking the US, why should you guys worry if they attack another country? (based on the first statement)

If they aren't attacking the US, what was (one of the highjackers) doing tallking to Iraq intelligence, twice in Germany, in the year before the attack on America? They/he is funneling money & intelligence to the terrorists, possibly weapons, chemicals & biologicals, too. Desert Storm, 1991, was to remove the Iraqi army from Kuwait. Noithing else. We should have gone in but it wasn't on the battle plan. Stupid UN resolutions. We're back & we're pissed off.

No Hitler? Okay. Well, nobody thinks of Milosovic as the threat he was. That won't work. Noriega is in jail, so that's out. Fuck it, back to Hitler-I bet if you ask the Kurds they may have some serious comparisons. I'd also bet if you were to ask the jounalists & government workers from around the world who have been there in the last, say, 2-3 years, you'd get a fully different picture. He is starving his people. Right now. As we debate this. The little money he collects from the okayed sales of crude is buying weapons, chemicals et al, not food.

As a matter of fact a Million iraqis have starved to death since sanctions began. 1,000,000!!Whos falt is that, Ours? I don't think so.

I'm losing my patience with Europe. http://forum.xibase.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5058

i know i am weak and whatnot in that i dont want to attack Iraq unless Saddam does something but maybe im the only one who says he will. am i the only one who remembers how he invaded Kuwait and started the desert storm? and i believe gonz was the one to talk about how he killed his own people. now i havent seen him attack but he is a direct enemy of the us or at least i think he is and i agree with homelan. now as for europe i am somewhat on their side but i say dont blame us if you get attacked. look at where Iraq is. they can hit Europe much more easily than us. now i do agree with Shadofax and yes America has been a bully(i know im going to be chewed out for that one) in that we are threatning a country that we know has a dictator who only wants power and moiney and doesnt give a shit how he gets is but he hasnt as i said done anything yet. ...yet. i still say lets watch over him for a while then if he does something out of line i say get him.(but try to keep civilian casualties to a minimum.)

I'm most definitely *not* in the Navy (SeaBee). I'm in the USAF. dropping soap in the shower...mumble...mumble*[/siz]

Beats me...It's just that the Navy seems to have more than it's fair share of *ahem* alternative lifestyles...

Besides...If I keep making off-the-wall references like that, perhaps will respond. D

well, onboard big ships that are pitching and yawing i'm sure the soap is even harder to hold on to ;) :D :D

WASHINGTON — Intelligence on Iraq that the Bush administration will present to Congress includes information on how dangerously close Saddam Hussein has come to developing a nuclear weapon, Fox News has learned.

Sources told Fox News that there is also new information indicating that Iraq has developed new methods of chemical- and biological-weapon delivery, and also of contact between Baghdad and Al Qaeda before and after the Sept. 11 terror attacks.

Most certainly. I know a lot of people in Europe don't agree with me on this, but Hussein IS a serious potential hazard to the US AND to European countries.
If there is only a SLIGHT possibility that he might be developing nuclear weapons, he must be taken out at all costs.

I found out today that our government would support an attack on Iraq. They're still debating on what our (small) role in the attack would be. Personally I think we could at least support when it comes to air-reconnaissance....

At this point, I don't think it's no longer a matter of agreeing with eachother (the US and Europe). Europe may not agree on the US foreign politics, but the fact is that Iraq is a serious danger, and not only to the US. And it's a potential danger that should be eliminated.
