Is the blue supposed to mean "liberal"? I'm hardly classified as liberal, and I think it's safe to say Catocom is no liberal either.

well, I did vote for Romney in the primaries, but Huckabee carried,
then the RNC decided on mickeyC.

I won't vote romney again though knowing how gutless he is now.

That's too bad because Romney was the logical choice. Huckabee couldn't get off his mantra of "He's a Mooooooormon!" as though there is a religious test for becoming president.

If Romney had won, we wouldn't be in the mess we're in.

I wouldn't have though so either, before I found out how Much or a party man
Romney is, and then the bush/paulson bailout.
Now, I'm not so sure What kinda shape we'd be in. I'd like to think we be in better shape.

It was only 6 going onto my USB key. I wonder what happened.

It's probably related to email attachment and email in general encoding, data tends to get bigger while it is in the email server (9.4MB is probably the size reported by his email provider) . Once he downloaded the file to his harddrive it should come back to its original size.

Barely.

Romney was Bush with a tan. The only contenders that had any inkling of backbone was Fred Thompson & Tancredo.

Then along came Sarah.

I would've thought voting for Tom McClintock in the 2003 recall election would've kind of dispelled the whole "flaming liberal" rumor but I guess not.

News flash, I have voted for over 10 republicans in my lifetime! Must have been drunk huh?

And I have voted for Democrats, Libertarians, and Independents. What's that make me?

I vote for the best qualified candidate, not the one who happens to have the letter designation of my party next to their name.

I bet he thinks you and catocom are RINOs. Isn't that special!

lol, anyone that thinks I'm a party man, hasn't been paying attention.

SOMEBODY, needs to put up somebody, some of us can vote for next time.
If our votes still really count, what with all this paperless scam going.

Oh I see your willingness to look past party, but you must admit you lean conservative a lot, at least that is how I see it.

yep, I lean that way because it coincides mostly with my faith.

I've always been "for the man" so to speak, in voting.

Conservative, like liberal, are not party labels. There are plenty of lib (R) & conservative (D). It's more a philosophy, a core belief.

Oh I see your willingness to look past party, but you must admit you lean conservative a lot, at least that is how I see it.

I once defined Liberal and Conservative (and I'm yet to be convinced that I'm wrong) as:

A conservative asks "why change"
A liberal asks "Why not change"

Both will change. Liberals are simply more open to it. They accept change, unless they're confronted with a solid reason against it. Conservatives need a solid reason for it.

There are other differences beyond that, but I tend to see those as tacked on. The need to molly coddle the 'wretched refuse' is often attributed to the liberal mindset, but the conservative has been doing it for centuries through agencies like the church. Hell, most schools and orphanages were run and operated by the church .... now under the Liberal banner, it's all run by the gov't.

Wait a minute .... did I just suggest that the gov't is the liberal church? If you stop and think about it for a minute .....

Seems like we're not so different after all.
