I agree. It's why they made a public spectacle of testing the MOAB, of calling the war tactic "shock and awe", and why they've been doing psyops for some time now. Regardless of the actual amount of force in the field, if you give the Iraqis the impression that an unbelievable amount of hell...

Democracy, even our bastardized representative form of it, works only when people participate. Personally, I'd also like to see protestors stop and think about the issues they're protesting, and try to come up with valid ideas and workable solutions in addition to just creating a media spectacle.

Personally, I think UN approval is more or less irrelevant because the UN is composed of nations who have determined interests in acting against the US in this case.

And when it comes down to it, I wish the best of luck to all of the allied forces in the region whose job it is to fight this. May you all come home safe.
